A briefing was held on Thursday on the status of restoration work on bridges and local roads

The State Enterprise “Kharkiv Region Roads”, on behalf of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Administrative Organization Oleg Synegubov, continues work on the restoration of roads and bridges of local public use. The director of the State Enterprise “Kharkiv Region Roads” – Ihor Turchenko reported on the progress of restoration work during the briefing.

As a result of hostilities on local roads of the region, 27 bridge structures were completely destroyed and 2 bridge structures were partially destroyed.

To date, transport connections have been ensured on 20 destroyed bridge structures, and major repairs are underway on 5 more bridge structures. The rest of the destroyed bridges are located on the line of hostilities and in occupied territory.

The prompt restoration of bridges is an extremely important component for the functioning of logistical connections on the region’s roads, which are used to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deliver humanitarian cargo, and evacuate the population.

In addition, to ensure sustainable and safe traffic, work is underway to prepare design and estimate documentation for the overhaul of 8 bridge structures in places where temporary crossings are currently arranged. These projects will be implemented in the coming years.

The State Enterprise “Kharkiv Region Roads” is making every effort to ensure traffic on the region’s roads, primarily in the deoccupied territories.
