Work on installing tactile tiles is underway at one of the repair sites

At the stage of developing design documentation for the repair of highways, the State Enterprise “Kharkiv Region Roads” pays great attention to ensuring the inclusiveness of space for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility.

Currently, work is underway at one of the repair sites to install tactile tiles along the edge of landing areas and guide tiles on the approaches to pedestrian crossings. Tactile tiles allow visually impaired people to navigate in space by feeling the touch of their feet.

Also, at the approaches to ground pedestrian crossings, curbs and sidewalks are lowered to the level of the roadway, which greatly facilitates movement for pedestrians.

The issue of inclusiveness for the State Enterprise “Kharkiv Region Roads” is one of the priority tasks for increasing the level of safety and comfort of movement.
